At the Co-Operative Bank, we provide a range of services for those looking for bank accounts, loans, credit cards and mortgages. Beginning in 1872, we’ve worked hard to provide customers with an alternative to the larger banks on the market. The one thing that we pride ourselves on the most is our impeccable customer service skills. We keep our customers in mind at all times, and customer satisfaction levels are on the top of our agenda.
The Co-Operative Bank put the ethical and environmental matters in the community to the forefront of our minds, and we aim to be the efficient and financially stable bank that our customers need us to be. We’ve always been driven by our ethical approach to banking. We’re about listening and caring about what matters the most to you, the customer, and ensuring that our money is being used for good. We will campaign on your behalf for what you believe is right, and we will work for you to ensure you get the result you want.
Co-operative Bank Loans are no longer offering personal loans to customers. Existing customers that have a personal loan with Co-operative Bank Loans are not affected, and if you have any questions about your borrowing, you should contact us directly for more information. However, we do have professional and career development loans that we offer, to help finance those who are studying and improve their career prospects.
With our professional and career loans, you can borrow between £3,000 and £10,000 to help you to fund a course to improve career prospects as well as earning potential. While you study, the government will take on the interest of your loan - once your study period is over the interest sits at 9.58% per annum on your repayments. You can repay your loan from 1-5 years, and you don’t have to start repaying it until you have completed your course. Before you take out this offer, you should ensure that you have the means to repay it once the course has come to a close. You should also consider that the longer the term of the loan, the total interest payable will be.
All applicants must be 18 or over and have a course starting within 8 weeks of the date of the application for borrowing.
Co-operative Bank Loans are able to assist existing loan customers with their borrowing needs. New customers with Co-operative Bank Loans will only be able to borrow if they are studying. We are always happy to answer any and all questions related to loans and can assist you every step of the way.
